Ono no Komachi

was a famous Japanese waka poet.

She was noted as a rare beauty; Komachi is a symbol of a beautiful woman in Japan.

花の色は　移りにけりな　いたづらに

わが身世にふる　ながめせしまに

My figure has declined in grace

while I was lost in thought of love and variety of things in the world,

花の色はあせてしまったわね、長雨が降り続く間に。

as well as the color of flowers has faded

while I was lost in thought to no purpose with this long rain.

私の容色も衰えてしまったわ、生きていることのもの思いをしていた間に。

There is no reason to be sad.

Because, you know what true love is.

哀しむ必要はありません、あなたは愛とは何かを知っているから・・・

Love is a flower that should never fade, or die, 

the colors should always be vibrant no matter what the season.

愛は　決して しおれたり枯れたりはしない。

その色は季節がいつであれ、いつも生き生きとしている　一輪の花/愛するもの だから。
