Dogs are loved by many, because they are honesty and feel an obligation to their master.
Furthermore, they ward off the evils and have an easy delivery.
The kanji for Smile - 笑 was considered as a kanji
made of 竹- Bamboo & 犬- Dog.
So people considered
a bamboo basket-hatted dog should keep a smile on family's face.
犬は正直で、主恩を忘れず 魔を取り除き、お産が軽く成長が良いと云われています。
漢字の「犬」に「竹」をかぶせて「笑」とし、
「ざるかぶり犬」は一家和楽の縁起物として伝えられてきました。

I really recognize that our dog brings us so much fun and laughs.
Sometimes we go through a busy street in Motomachi Yokohama,

懐かしい感じがするとても雰囲気のよい物ばかりですね。繊細な心が物に表れているようです。

「ざるかぶり犬」初めて知りました。関西では見かけないように思うのですが。「笑」という字からのアイデアという説も面白いですね。ゴマちゃんはザルはかぶっていなくても十分に笑顔をもたらしてくれますね。

私も関西にいる時は知りませんでした。こちらに来ると猫のような張り子の犬を度々見かけるようになりました。関西ではあまり見なかったように思います。「ざるかぶり犬」は赤ちゃんの疳の虫を押さえる効果も期待されているそうですよ（笑）小さなゴマも見てくれているようで嬉しいです。いつもお越しいただきありがとうございます。ヽ(*^^*)ノ

返信削除That print art was made by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. It's rare that he drew such a funny humorous picture. His name is famous for as a painter of bloody harsh scenes. Those are too cruel to show you. (Θ_Θ;A
削除郷土玩具は手に取って肌触りを楽しみたくなるような、ほのぼのした暖かみが伝わってきます。犬張子、ひげと白と黒のブチが猫っぽいですね。ザルをかぶったところが何とも言えず愛らしい！

削除江戸千代紙は関西のはんなりした優しい柄と違い、モダン柄な感じがしますね。私も初めてこの違いに気づきました。着物の柄も比べればかなり違うのでしょう。面白いですね！

A dog never fails to bring us a smile like Goma, so why not a bamboo basket-hatted dog? I’ve learned it for the first time. I try not to increase personal belongings, but I always find myself irresistible buying lovely and refined folktoys whenever I go on a trip. I like the way you captured those toys with the camellias which is so beautiful.
