2011 New Year holidays

Well, New year has started.

Let's find ways to make daily life fun
as much as possible this year !

How did you enjoy your New Year Holidays ?
We enjoyed Osechi-ryōri specially prepared for New Year, and
a good New Year's visit to a shrine due to the fine, warm weather.
These are the impressive scenes captured during the holidays by my family.

How wonderful frilly cozy cardigans and warm hats !

There was a woman who had been working for the kiosk of Enoshima station.
She wished keep the metallic birds not to catch a cold in winter,
and not to have a sunstroke in summer.
People say that she has still been making such clothes for them
more than 1000 sets depending on the season.

36 monkey gods are performing rituals to wish good health and prosperity.

I hope that the New Year finds you in good health.

  1. Prosperity and good health to you, your family and pets. I enjoy seeing how you've spent the New Year. It looks like you have much warmer weather than we do. Why does the silver bird figure have a white knit hat hat coat? Fake snow?

The photo of Mount Fuji is stunning.
