座敷と衣裳部屋を仕切る欄間には、 朝顔が透かし彫りされています。

(summer bloomer) motif.
明治42年、田山花袋が 島崎藤村らとこの宿を訪れ、
「落合楼の一間は、影の濃淡の具合が複雑していて、旅客に静かな旅の心を味合わせた。」
と記しています。
